Super friendly, accommodating and helpful with local information. My stay was very comfortable and the best part was that I was walking distance from Cannery Row and Fishermans Wharf .
This Holiday Inn Express was a great stay. Walking distance to the Aquarium, all of Cannery Row, and the waterfront. Some rooms have minimal views of the bay as well. Complimentary parking on-site is a great amenity. Breakfast is the typical Holiday Inn Express breakfast with egg omelets, sausage, biscuits, pancakes, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. Layout requires some stairs for most rooms so if mobility impaired, call ahead to be sure you get a room where stairs aren't required. Beautiful outdoor courtyard area for relaxing and reading, etc. Reasonably priced hotels in this area are hard to come by. I highly recommend this property if you are like me and value location and not moving your vehicle during your stay.
The perfect hotel for Monterey! I will stay here again and again. Reasonably priced, nice room, great breakfast. The only thing to keep in mind: if you have a disability/mobility issues you should ask for a room on the first floor. There are secondary sets of stairs to get to almost every room
Great location, service was good. A bit obsolete on room appliances compared to other hotels on the chain. Vey slippery bath tub and there was not microwave in the room.
We were pleasantly surprised with how upscale/boutique this property felt. Walking distance to so many things, and an easy jumping off point driving as well. Service was attentive, everyone we worked with from front desk to breakfast staff to maintenance was wonderful.
A place suitable for families. We took a family room that included two double beds and a sofa. The place is beautiful and clean, close to the canary road and the aquarium. There is parking and breakfast included.
The rooms are very large, clean, and the location is great. Free parking is definitely a plus! I’d seen some reviews mentioning a bad breakfast, but honestly, I thought it was fine especially considering it’s a budget hotel. For the price, it was perfect. Our room faced the road, so it could get a bit noisy at night, but it didn’t affect my sleep. I’d definitely stay here again. The only small downside was the girl who checked us in, she wasn’t very welcoming, but the rest of the staff were nice and helpful.
Stayed 3 nights using reward nights. I’m an IHG Gold member and got room 316, which had a nice beach view. Front desk said it was recently renovated. Staff were friendly, parking was easy, and breakfast was the usual Holiday Inn Express setup. A couple things I didn’t like: the Wi-Fi kept dropping, which got annoying. Also, the bathroom door was hard to close, especially with kids around. Still, overall a good stay in a great location
Very close to cannery row and very close to the aquarium. Everything is clean and neat. Front desk receptionists were extremely friendly and gave ideas to what to do, and maintenance man was very helpful. The breakfast was so yummy, great variety. Excellent overall!
